2010 – A Year of Exciting Adventures

Wow – 2010 is starting off with a bang! On January 4th, the newest issue of Inside Fitness Magazine hit the news stands featuring its Hot & Fit 100 Female Fitness Models in Canada. I was very happy to find out that I had made the list and one of my photos was in there!
I’ve also entered the Status Fitness Cover Model contest. This is another wonderful opportunity to bring added exposure for both marketing reasons and personal purposes. In addition to that, I’m working on a potential spread for another magazine with an expected publish date in April. And the WBFF is getting ready to launch its Fit & Firm Online Magazine where I’m one of their featured writers.
One project that I’ve recently become a part of is Vixen Base Camps (http://www.vixenbasecamp.com/). This is a very meaningful and extensive weekend workshop series of events aimed at empowering women through exercise, sound nutrition principals as well as making a strong mind, body, and soul connection. My goal is to bring the Vixen Base Camps to Calgary. And when I make the move to California, bring the VBC brand there. Not only will I be able to help create a solid social network for the Military wives, I’ll also be able to help women from all backgrounds.
From a professional perspective, I’ll be continuing with education by taking a variety of courses in relation to Fitness, Health and Wellness. I truly do enjoy these types of classes. It’s always fascinating to me to learn more about how the body functions and reacts to different variables.
Near the end of the year, I want to cap off my hard work and efforts by competing once again in the WBFF World Championships. This year’s show is going to be extra special for me. My fiancé James will be home and we can go together as Team Newton. I can’t wait to have him in the audience cheering me on. Sharing the whole experience with him is going to be the greatest gift.
I’m sure between now and the WBFF World Champs there are going to be many other exciting adventures I’ll get myself involved in. Whatever I decide to pursue, regardless if it is for business or personal reasons, I’m going to do it with passion!
